Circle of Security

We offer Circle of Security Parenting (COSP), a relationship-based approach to help you strengthen the bond with your child. Grounded in decades of attachment research, this program supports you in understanding your child’s emotional needs, building secure relationships, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for growth and connection. 💗

Based on the principles of attachment theory and developmental psychology, Circle of Security Parenting program offers both group and one-on-one support to help parents strengthen their connection with their child. Through guided reflection and discussion, parents learn to better recognise their child’s emotional needs, respond with greater sensitivity, and support their child’s ability to explore the world with confidence. Key concepts include understanding the “Circle,” recognising when to be ‘bigger, stronger, wiser, and kind,’ and learning how to repair ruptures in the relationship. This approach helps create a secure foundation for lifelong resilience, regulation, and connection. All our therapists are trained in COSP and use this lens to guide and support you and your child with warmth, empathy, and understanding.

We also offer the Tier 1 COSP Classroom Professional Learning Series for early childhood settings. This training supports educators in understanding children’s emotional needs, fostering resilience, and creating calm, connected environments. Through reflection and practical tools, early care professionals learn how to build secure, trusting relationships that support healthy development and lifelong learning.
